Newboy Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 I'm going to (try to) fit the plotter on the boat this weekend, can the dome shaped antenna be mounted next to each other, or do they have to be as far away as possible? Quote
shytalk Posted March 11, 2005 Report Posted March 11, 2005 dont be to hastey some antennas do react to eachother best to try putting the antenna where you intend putting them power everything up and test before drilling or cutting anything it could save a lot of grief later Quote
Newboy Posted March 11, 2005 Author Report Posted March 11, 2005 I haven't many choices! The GPS says antenna at least 1 metre from vhf antenna, and Plotter says 3 metres from vhf antenna..... I have 1 metre square on top of the cabin! Coddy how is your's fitted? Quote

Coddy Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 I have the Plotter and GPS reciever domes next to each other on one side of the bridge and the radio antenna on the other end. Not had any problems but I do try to keep power cables and reciever cables apart where I can. Hope that helps Coddy Quote
