great white
I have just looked at all the weather sites I use allthough the wind is up on Friday the strongest I see is 24knots which is 6 maybe 7 can not see anything at this time that looks to reach 50 to 55 knots [Force 11] most sites have the wind easing at the weekend now, so lets hope that they are right Charlie
Paul D
Metcheck often get a little carried away. Did you realise I was out fishing yesterday when there was force 5 - 6 winds in the Solent ( according to Metcheck )
Adam F
'When the wind's in the East - the fish bite least' 'When the wind's in the West - the fish bite best' 'When the wind's in the South - the bait flows in the fishies mouth' 'When the wind's in the North - dont bench a forth' My dad told me this the first time I ever went fishing (age 5) and I have remembered it ever since!' Afishionado
dont bench a forth' took me a wile to work out but I suspect this may have been 'don't venture forth'.............. Oh for goodness sake!! Benching a Forth is an age old Scottish custom of ripping up park benches and hurling them into the Firth of Forth. Marks are given for the tidyness of removal, style of hurl and length of throw. Of course the highest macks are given on the size of the splash. Current world record holder it Tiny Mc Basturd a grossly malformed female midget with 48" biceps. She is expected to hold the title for some time to come.
