Speciman
Another kayak fishing report. Fished Durley Rock area with friend today early morning till early afternoon. Used ragworm as bait. Between us we caught 2 black bream (1 1/2lb, 1 3/4lb), school bass, ballan wrasse up to 2lb,(nice fight on light spinning rod), tiny corkwing wrasse, a 95% specimen cuckoo wrasse at 1lb 3oz (lovely colours!), some spider crabs (smoothhound coming in soon?) & mackeral. Afishionado
Just goes to show.... There's us folks with big expensive boats, and O/Bs that keep the Saudis in mink tents, flyin' out 3 or 4 miles to fish. And sometimes we get bu66er all. A man in a kayak and one rod has a very respectable day!! (and well done too) For cris sake dont let my Carol know, cos she'll put the kybosh on the new baot Mad Mike
Maverick Martin
Well done Simon its good to hear reports and know there are fish inshore. Durley rocks used to be a cracking spot for Bream, good to see their still there, try fish baits for them preferably squid/mackeral Martin
