bliss2 Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 Just an enquiry, I see alot of you post that you need crew, what does this entail? Generally if someone offers to crew for you, does that mean that they chip in towards fuel or is it that if they come and help you on the boat for the day they get a free trip? Quote
Maverick Martin Posted May 22, 2005 Report Posted May 22, 2005 Hi Matt The agreement is between the skipper and the selected crewmember. There is no set format but it would be fair to say that a crew member would be expected to help with the running of the boat and to contribute towards the cost of the trip Martin Quote
Gnasher Posted May 23, 2005 Report Posted May 23, 2005 I would always offer half of the costs, and its great for lesser experienced boat anglers like me to be having a go with a boat owner to learn all I can and new skills. It would probabbly be harder for me to arrange crew on my boat anyway, because the cost to run my boat on fuel, it would probabbly be cheaper to book a charter trip. Il go out on the auxillary, lol Quote
