I have a friend who fishes the Usk regularly and they are a relatively common occurrence. 

It would be great to see them in the Severn, certainly I heard of 3 being caught between Poole and Chesil last year, did Alan not have one ? Or was that an Allis Shad?

I have a recollection of fishing for them in the Stour in the 60's.
