Gnasher Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Picked up a boat a couple of days ago with Chris (thats a biggun). After a clean up and a new coat she will be a beauty. Shes a 17footer, but the question is, What type is she? I was told a pilot when i bought her, but not sure. She is also on a trailor with a 55hp johnson on the back. Alas she will be sold though as my other boat is ready at last. Pic, complete with Chris posing!!! Quote
Coddy Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Hi Dan Looks like a Nab Dory to me But what do I know Coddy Quote
Gnasher Posted June 28, 2005 Author Report Posted June 28, 2005 thanks coddy. Any other opinions? Quote
that's_a_biggin Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 last time i saw a boat like that danny .. was on my fishfinder... Quote
Gnasher Posted June 28, 2005 Author Report Posted June 28, 2005 sorry chris, that hospital will know where your hiding now. U dont have a fish finder!!! Quote
Maverick Martin Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 Don't think its a pilot. I used to have a pilot and the topsides looked totally different, larger cabin for one and no step in the gunwales. Could be a nab as coddy says or maybe a wilson flyer? Martin Quote
Wedger Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Not a Wilson so far as I can tell. The hull lines are different to my 17. I can't see them producing two styles of the same length. Here's my craft, see what you think. Quote
duncan Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 hmm - I must have hit the sauce early today as my interpretation of the 2 pictures would lead me to conclude that they are the same hull but a different topside completely. if I remember right didn't these hulls get marketed for 'home build' in a number of different guises? having said that the 2 topsides could both have been commercial options as one is a lot longer in the covered area that the other. Bob F Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Only a mother could love that, Dan. What a photo. Quote
