Leicester Fisheagle Posted February 4, 2023 Report Posted February 4, 2023 There is a new round of Consultation which is intended to help form the UK's new Fisheries Management Plans over the next few years. These are to replace the current legislation which is now out of date because of Brexit. We have been advised by local Fisheries to actively participate. Come and represent your Club/ have your say on Monday, 20th. February 2023 at the Broadstone Conservative Club at 7pm. Steve S Posted February 26, 2023 Report Posted February 26, 2023 Pleased to report there was a good turnout of recreational anglers for the meeting including plenty of PBSBAC members. It was a more or less structured listening session, we talked about issues and what we wanted to see happen and they listened and made notes. The government does appear to genuinely want to take input from recreational anglers before setting out policy. Whether this translates into legislation that improves fisheries for recreational anglers remains to be seen...I'm sure Allan will have more to say on this meeting in the March meeting.
