Steering Cable Question

Hi all,

I have a bit of free play in the steering on my Warrior 165.

i.e. the steering wheel turns a bit before anything happens.

Is there any adjustment I can do or is it a new cable/steering box.

The play seems to be at the steering box end, I can not feel that the inner cable is moving inside the outer cable which makes me think it could be the steering box.

Does anyone know anything about these things?

It is a No Feedback System if that makes any differance.

Thanks

I have the same on my Warrior 175 - it is due to wear on the worm gear and cable

head it can be combatted by lubricating down the return tube coming out of the back of the gear unit behind the steering wheel. Turn the wheel so the cable is withdrawn hold the tube pointing upwards and squirt in some thickish oil hold till it goes down. Saves on buying a new steering gear!!
