Bob F
Renewed by subscription to BFM last week and today I received the gift. Was expecting to get some sets of mackerel lures, but instead I got a Fladen Rig Wallet (11 leafs) and a pack of Fladden Pike lures. The lure pack consisted of: one Rapala-like 4in lure two flourescent yellow 2in jelly worms two flourescent orange 2in jelly worms two orange tailed 2in jelly worms two black tailed 2in jelly worms Mepps spinner Toby-like lure seven assorted small lead-head hooks three short wire traces with a swivel and link-swivel on the ends. Not a bad little pack for a freebee. Would be ideal for Rich's Pike forays and pretty good for bass, too. Better than the mackerel lures anyway. Newboy
You've got better gifts than I have. I got a wallet plus some (10?) rigs, ranging from feathers to grubs, and eels to muppets.
Brian
I got the Fladen multiplier, had to strip it and turn up a new bush as the handle was very wobbly. Not bad now for a freebee but completely useless as received.
britboard
I got the fladen multiplier, and i had to replace the plastic gears as they were stripped straight out of the box, i've got a feeling that they are all seconds or returns. simon
blueboatdriver
I do buy the mag every month but I'm just waiting for them to change those dodgy reels before I subscribe
Swainiac
Would those reels be the ones whose insides are made of chocolate, and indeed can be consumed to raise the blood sugar level when lost at sea? The same reels designed not to land a decent fish?? I'm just wondering if Jack and Andy are following this thread...........do you like chocolate Jack?
