Adam F
Needed to get a fishy fix today regardless - so with the sea fishing all out of sorts and with Gordon justy having taken up fly fishing, we took a trip out to Holbury Lakes in the Test Valley for a few hours. Not cheap at

Swainiac
Hi Dave, long time no see, thats a pretty well priced fishery. Are the fish in good nick, or fat and sluggish like most stockies?? Rich
Adam F
Thanks Dave - Rockbourne is only 5 mins from where I live and I have fished it many times. I like it - 6 lakes, all different. Fish go into good sizes regularly and are not too fatty - they alos have a lovel orange flesh, not pale like alot of stocked fish. daviduk
hi all Havnt fished Rockbourn in at least 4 years ,but when i use to reguarly very few times did i not come away with my limit. What i like most are the lakes being crystal clear generaly ,thus enabling you to stalk individul fish. I could not fly fish a coloured water and just trust to chance . It is great to put a fly past a fish several times and have no reaction then chage fly and bang in one it takes it.
