great white
well thats it After 15 years the Great White has been sold and will be heading for cornwall on Wednesday by road. She has gone to a keen shark fisherman from Looe [How apt considering her name] and I hope that he gets as much fun out of her as I have over all those years with family and friends. It will be sad to see her go but the bigger boat is coming on, and the money will finance some of the major parts. We have been offered a Cornish sharking trip on GW, but I am not sure if I would like to see her as someone elses boat. Charlie
blueboatdriver
Good news Charlie. Now you go off and shed a quiet tear and it'll all be alright in the morning.
Coddy
Hi Charlie It is always sad to see an old friend go but just think of the new engine you can purchase now! I am sure the new boat will bring many happy times to you all. Coddy
Swainiac
She must have felt like one of the family Charlie, I did enjoy the evening trips for conger/tope..............although I am sure that the new lady will provide a platform for countless hours of pleasure for you and the family. Still, just think of the good old girl each time you fire up the new engine on that beast sat on your lawn!!! We'll have to keep an eye out for her in the magazines. Afishionado
It is strange how a collection of metal, plastic, and wood can create such feelings. Who amongst us can not remember their first car in detail? However Charlie you and Sam are truely in every sense building a relationship with your new craft, and what memories will Sam pass on to your grand children eh Charlie?
