TomBettle
If you just want 1/0's then get a packet from any tackle shop for
plaicemat
Unfortunately, Tom, being in Oxfordshire, we don't have too many sea fishing tackle shops so I tend to rely on mail order. The shops down there are not usually open when I arrive to go fishing, and are closed when I've finished. My last lot of fantastic flattie hooks, which I'd had for about 20 years (I buy in bulk), have all but gone. Gold, fine wire Aberdeens. On my home ground in North Norfolk, we find them perfect for dabs and sole. In 1/0 they are great for plaice, my favourite fun fish.

Swainiac
Terry, dont worry about hooks for next weekend, Ive sorted tackle out for the day, have made some rigs with Mikes red worm hooks, but have also made up some traces with small circles on....havent tried these yet for the Plaice this season, so will give them a try. You also have some nice new coloured leads for the drifting. 1/0...............arent they a tad large for Plaice?? I'll be using 1's and 2's, that way, youre always in for a dab if they are about, but the 1's will still bag a larger plaice........as seen in my photo posted earlier.
