IF ANY BODY NEEDS TO TAKE RADIO TRAINING AND TEST I WOULD RECOMEND RT TRAINING DOWN AT UNIVERSAL MARINA. I TOOK MINE ON FRIDAY AND THE TRAINER (JOHN) WAS VERY HELPFULL AND INTERESTING.

PS PLENTY OF BOATS TO LOOK AROUND AT LUNCH TIME !

Up until the Summer I was based out of Universal Marina and did my own radio course with these guys.

Very good, helpful and friendly.

For those in Poole, there are several local people doing the courses, not least my old mates at Cruise Control who have excellent classroom facilities and a fully equipped training centre just around behind Toys R Us.

Hi All

I believe that the rules are about to change and as from September a boats radio licence will be a once only fee.

only when changing boats will you have to pay biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

The Instructor at Corfe Castle area is Brian Thorp

he will run courses at his home for a very reasonable fee
