I have booked a src course for a couple of weeks time(and i know little!) I was wondering if how hard it will be to pass? do i need to study prior to the course or will i be given all the training on the day? also what channel do the small boats use in dorset and hampshire? thanks Brian Quote
Maverick Martin Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Hi Brian Firstly welcome to pbsbac forum. Spend a bit of time learning the phonetic alphabet and you will pass. After a day on these coureses you would have to try really hard to fail. Martin Quote
blueboatdriver Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 You pay your money, they give it to you. If it looks like you're going wrong they'll put the words in your mouth like all the other courses out there. Has anyone known anybody who's failed? Quote
Newboy Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Ask himn what his pass rate is? Anything < 100% and go else where. Quote

Swainiac Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Brian, in all seriousness, remember the three cardinal rules of using the Radio.....your ABC Accuracy, Brevity, Clarity. It may save your life. Avoid swearing over the net, stick to what you will learn on the course. Rich Quote
