lady jane
launched baiter sunday 7-30 straight out for mackeral about a mile past old harry after an hour and only three we gave it best and headed over to the car park at ballards, anchored up and the bites started straight away but all the bream were under 2 pounds (13 total) so just after lunch we went on over to the rough where we managed another four and a dogfish before heading back in. the trim tabs are now fitted and early feelings are very good. they do need adjusting so that the angle is less at the mo they are acting like brakes at low speed but once over 12 knots they make a large difference to the ride quality(most of the slamming has gone). the tabs have also allowed me to change from the 12 pitch prop to the 13 pitch. i know its only one trip so far too early to be sure but it appears that fuel consumption has been improved as well which is an added bonus as i only fitted the tabs to improve the ride quality. cheers andy
Maverick Martin
Nice one Andy especially that the trim tabs make an improvement. Shame the mackerel appear to be in short supply. Martin
