Manic Moore
Not certain how I got away with it but I got to go out Sat & Sun Sat out with Alun J. We wanted to sample the Bass fishing that everyone has been at. It was a quiet day, mainly due to only being able to catch Tune size Maci. Alun managed to winkle out a couple as you would expect and yours truely got his first double and a very nice 11LB bass went back to fight another day . We got back in time to watch that great football match Sunday saw Adam and I out of Mudeford at 5.30am and out to the Rips. Despite a slow start and a few small codling Martin and Dean showed us the way and by the end of the day we had boated 15 cod to Adams 20Lb 6 oz cracker. Great day and I just had 2 large fillets battered for tea Not a bad weekend

Gnasher
i hadnt even read the post. An 11lb bass is a monster mate, well done. I think its an even bigger achievement than other may give you credit for as it was caught on a very small boat (440?) and you cant reach some of the grounds that others may head for. Even put back to fight another day. Top angling matey. Dan

Gruffy
It's great to hear how well you guys are doing with livelies, especially so as most of the big fish appear to be going back alive. For those who fish inshore either from small boats or even from the shore, a double figure bass can represent a fish of a lifetime.....there really aren't that many fish of this size within range of a lot of dedicated bass fisherman, many that I know in fact, and all of them will be cheered to know that these big lunkers are being returned. A bass that has survived to reach 10lb is a lucky fish already, and one caught and released is even luckier. I thought I'd post a picy of one of my regular fishing buddies who joined me earlier this week for a couple of hours plug and fly fishing - we had a few bass, plus a handful of other bits and pieces, best two fish were 5lb and 5 1/2lb both to the fly. Nice fish....with luck they too will reach 10lb in weight, and if they do I hope you guys manage to catch them again
