Fished Sowley last night with Zzippy from the kayaks. Arrived at launch point (Park Shore) about 7:30pm and launched at low water fishing the tide up until about 1:30am.

After drifting for a bit we moved closer inshore to take shelter from the gusting winds and anchored in what must have only been a few feet of water opposite a large white house and settled in for the night. We were probably in a good spot as two boats were fishing near us.

We were after smoothhound and stingray. Unfortunately neither were caught although school bass up to 1 1/2lb and a silver eel were taken with Zzippy catching most of the fish. Zzippy also had a good run from something which took a quite a bit of line. The bait was large rag. There was quite a lot of weed about - I guess thats to be expected during this time of year.
