Picked up my new 5 20 today, last thing........ after a morning's fish in the windy conditions..... but some good bream to show !

Pm. cleaning down 4 40 to pass on to Dave [ hope he gets as much fun and success as I have over past four years ] ....... then dash of to Lymington to collect; boy, she's bigger and heavier !!

Tomorrow.... a few jobs......... greasing up all visible metal to stall effects of MUdeford salt.......... swatting through the handbook on the Lowrance plotter ....

....... and maybe take the other half out

Sorry , I won't be able to make family day afloat this time,

Alun.

Congrats on your new acquisition. You won't be wanting to out on any old warriors in future, I can see. I hope you have as much fun and success as you did with the last one, but with room to turn around. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the water.

All the best with the new boat, Alun. My wife and family were well impressed with your "old" boat when they saw it - they're all keen on trying it out (not all together!). Thanks again, and for the mackerel - we shared them for dinner this evening - Yum! (hopefully a taste of things to come; got the boat, now if I can just catch some fish...!) biggrin.gif

Alun,

Now I know why you passed without noticing me as I was towing back from Wick, didnt think you would be going out again. You were obviously focussed on only one thing, get new boat, get new boat, and get new boat.

Wishing you every success with her,

Gordon H

I'm getting desperate. Had to go and catch some trout yesterday evening just to retain my sanity. How long can this wind last? I'm still talking weather here. On the plus side, we have a supply of trout fillets in the freezer.
