Shropfisher Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 I've found Porthcawl Insurance to be best for me, 01656 784866 apparently run by a guy from RNLI so know his stuff. Quote
Sole Man Posted September 5, 2006 Author Report Posted September 5, 2006 Hi, Thanks you lot I will try these and see what theysay. Sole Man Quote
Afishionado Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Craftinsure are best by far. One does it all on line and it is good cover too. Also you can pay on monthly installments. Mad Mike Quote
Maverick Martin Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 If you use Craftinsure please mention the club, you may not get a better deal but it lets our sponsor know he's getting a return on his investment Martin Quote
Sole Man Posted September 5, 2006 Author Report Posted September 5, 2006 Hi Thanks again for all your help. John Quote
Dreamcatcher Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Hi John, You may be sorted by now but I found Haven Knox Johnston to offer me the best deal. One insurer even excluded damage under the waterline!!!! Check the exclusions on the policy carefully and make sure you have 2 or 3 Quote
Paul D Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Gary, You will also find that Haven Knox Johnson are same insurers as www.boatinsure.co.uk who are Amlin plc. You can get insured with them online at the above site and I found the quote was exactly the same as I was quoted by a broker but I could then get a discount after one year. and dare I say it, they were cheaper for me than Craftinsure and also can be done online ( with instant cover ). hotshot Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I booked my insurance online with CraftInsure AND mentioned PBSBAC (smug mode... ) Good rate and very helpful too! Hope you find what you're looking for, John (wherever you decide to go). Cheers, Dave Quote

Dreamcatcher Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Hi Guys, Insurance is always a bit of a minefield. At the end of the day, anyone insuring needs to get as many quotes as possible, compare cover and then make your choice. Cheers, Gary. Quote
TomBettle Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Both my boats are with Denovo Underwriting. http://www.insure-my-boat.com They aren't so good with the smaller boats, but the guys with boats of value's over about Quote
