Adam F Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 It made a nice change getting BW today - its been a good 6 weeks since the last trip.... Anyway, plan was to stay inshore and out of the tide and have a crack at a few species. Gordon decided to up the anti today with the culinary delights aboard BW - gone were the bacon and egg butties - and in was 'Jerky' from Australia from Crocodile, Emu and Kangaroo!! Bl$% Quote

Member Removed Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 fantastic fish, really cool - did she go back so I can catch her? Quote
Adam F Posted September 11, 2006 Author Report Posted September 11, 2006 Julian, As is the policy aboard BW - both the biggies went back and swam away powerfully to fight another day. Rule is that any doubles go back - no question, all other bass are fair game priovided sensible numbers are taken - I think the most I have ever bought back is 4 fish in a session. Maybe next time she will be even bigger - they both had the potential and now is the right time of year!! Adam Quote
Newboy Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Just short of 120% specimen weigh, wouldn't mind that in 2 weeks time. Quote
great white Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Well done Guys Two superb fish Great policy Adam to put the big breeding stock back deserves all the credit you will get, nice one Charlie Quote
Manic Moore Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 (edited) Well here is my 2nd double of the season and didn't it go on the light spinning rod. A bit more than 20 yards of line but still had to get Adam to chase it up tide as I was well into the backing. Took a while to recover but 4 or 5 minutes in the landing net and holding her upright saw her swim strongly away. My best of 3 on the day Picture attached. I would say on the occasion that the tool would blame the worker, good camera dodgy photographer Edited September 11, 2006 by Manic Moore Quote
Swainiac Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 ............................not to mention the dodgey shirtlifter Cracking report with two fine, fine fish. I'm off to Weymouth this AM, as you can see from the stupid o clock time of posting, hoping for a bar or two in the last of the tides this week. Well done guys. Rich Quote
