Hi,

Is ther anyone out there that runs a Warrior 175 with a Honda 90 the problem I have is what size of prop should I use it currently has a prop with the markings 3x1325x17R I presume this is a 17"prop, I'm only getting 25Knots at approx 4800rpm sea condition were ok a bit of a chop and 2 adults plus two little kids about 2-3 stone each and no gear.

I've been told to expect 30Knots does anyone else have any figures for what they get engine does not seem to rev beyond 5000rpm?

I think that's a 13 1/4 dia and 17p prop. Not sure what the 3 stans for, might be the number of blades but isn't evident?!

What is the max rpm for your 90? You ust pair it with a prop which allows ax rev but not over (burns the engine). You can repitch the prop but only to a degree so a new prop might be required. Talk to your Honda dealer and I'm sure they would be about to advice you on a more suitable prop, but unfortunately that's try and error, all will sell you a new prop but very few will let you try it out for test .....

Firstly do you trim your motor out when running at full chat. You will get more rpm if you do this but do not over do the trimming or you may end up whisking air laugh.gif

I have just looked on the Honda site, which states your engine should rev at 5500 rpm. If you are struggling to get 5000rpm you are probably over propped. If you

Thanks for the help I haven't tried trimming it out as use the trim gauge supplied to set level of trim but will try this weekend.

Unfortuntaely not local to poole but will be aiming for a trip down shortly live on the Wirral by the Mersey so propeller revolutions no good will contact local Honda agent but was hoping someone had 1st hand experience with the 175 seems to be loads of Info on 165 though.
