Heres a picture of it. im not familiar with these, can anyone advise please?

Any clues on why it's happening.

 

can you tell from the photo if the couplings knackered

Can it be replaced

could it be the other end thats knackered

anyone had the same problem etc

Its a ball and socket joint with a spring loaded retainer, i've used those on the rudders on various hovercraft that i've made and never had a problem with them pre-releasing. Make sure that everything is free with the sliding collar and its well seated and you should be good!

If it fails again you should be able to pick one up from any good chandlers (not very expensive).
