CREZZ Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Good luck to all fishing the open , i'm not jealous , Honest I shall be out on a boat tonight but unfortunately not a fishing boat , and i don't think the river Thames comes in the boundries of club waters . All i have to look forward to is a lager induced headache tomorrow morning . Tight lines to all . Andy Quote
Swainiac Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 With the indicated wind speed reducing, Mark and I hope to stick to our original plan, with Terry and crew on board Sea Mistress for company. Tight lines to all......and no bogus road blocks between Weymouth and the weigh please!!! Possibly see you down the Duncan. Rich Quote
Paul J Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Hopefully we will see you both at the Mariner in the evening? PJ Quote
duncan Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Andy and I may well get out on Sunday, not fishing the Comp.[very little point]. you should be blackballed for such a statement sir - disgrace; utter disgrace. anyone could hit a 90% lsd, pout or gar just by getting lucky an 80% ray by sticking it out and keeping fresh bait in the water; on the bottom. why I will be entering the flatfish pool despite not having a worm on board the boat and only having (accidentially) caught 1 flounder in my life! - it's the spirit of the thing sir! on the other hand I do understand you point.............. Gruffy Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Good luck to everyone fishing tomorrow, I'm sure it will work out fine. I thought I'd just let you know as well that a buddy of mine just called by my place to show me a few pictures of several bass he caught this morning whilst fly fishing from his kayak within PBSBAC club waters...best was just over 5lb! Surely if they can still be caught on a fly in what was quite coloured water, they can be tempted by some of you ace anglers on more traditional baits and methods Be safe. Regards, Al Quote
Paul J Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Dont forget your cameras and make sure you've got one proof card per boat (allan will hand these out in the morning) Let the show begin! PJ Quote
Mike Fox Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 Good luck all, hope the weather holds. Mike Quote

While you're all enjoying yourselves yanking out all those prize winning fish, I'll be enduring my birthday celebrations in the bosom of my family and friends. Have fun. Terry. Quote

cascars Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 I was up at 0145 with a 160 mile drive each way to follow. And to cap it all it looks like I missed out on the best bass with my 2lb 9oz effort because I was convinced somebody would have had a bigger one, so did not bother photographing it, doh! Quote
Swainiac Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Thanks for making the trip Terry, not all best laid plans come to fuition!! Hopefully, we will see you all launching this way again soon, I think our next comp will be the Flounder festival, and if I'm very lucky, I get to prepare the hamper again!! Rich Quote
