Adam F Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 That's it.... Blue Warrior has gone, on her way down to Plymouth as we speak. End of an era... I feel quite nostalgic really... Quote
Newboy Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 You must missed it lots....... you're repeatig yourself ...... 3 times.... Quote
Deep Sea Dean Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 You kept that boat really well Adam. I bet the new owner is well chuffed. Just need to find your new one now! Quote
great white Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Hi Adam Its Sad to see them go mate, but I am sure you will get a good replacement Charlie Quote
Bob F Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 I've been to the rips on that boat. I've been on the rocks with that boat. I've been wallowing in the wake of that boat. I've been beached behind that boat. I've been riding 20ft waves with that boat. I've been netting 30lb cod on that boat. I've been night fishing for big conger in that boat. I've gotta shed a tear... Adam F Posted January 20, 2007 Author Report Posted January 20, 2007 ..... you've got me going now!!! Good post Bob - yep, Ive had some good times on her and it was kinda wierd watching her being towed off down the road this morning - even the wad of cash didnt soften the blow. There cant be many Warriors that have been through the trips (and landed the fish) that BW did. I did a search from the beginning of the website on 'Blue Warrior' and I had actually forgottern many of the trips/events etc that she has been through. Anyway onwards and upwards - off to sea test a possible replacement 2moro.... Quote
alun j. Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Adam, Shouldn't you be house-hunting ?? ..... or can you combine both ? Alun. Quote
alun j. Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 >>>>>>> and I was introduced to the pleasures of onboard catering with warm bacon sarnies on that boat ! ....... and am now interupting my fishing to emulate this..... ......Thanks, Adam. Quote
Adam F Posted January 21, 2007 Author Report Posted January 21, 2007 ...Yep, that another memory! As its late and the vino has taken a hammering - a few more memories: - Kimmeridge Sept 04 - Ripps x 6 - Having to come back from the ripps as the deck and fish box were full of cod - June 06 - Burnham - 32lb Cod part of 5 cod haul - Dec 05 - Too many bass trips to mention...but - 2 x 11lb bass in the same drift, July 06 - Club record stingray - 04' Good times! Manic Moore Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I guess its a time for me to look back on as well. Crewing on 2 of those occasions you mentioned. And I pretty well did my boat fishing apprentership on blue warrior ( with some help on Neo ) and certainly motivated the purchase of Enticer. Lets hope its gone to a good home Gordon Quote
Swainiac Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Adam, a passing note of thanks, really, crewed many times for you on BW, shared some good times, and some great scoff, I very nearly dipped my toe into boat ownership with one, too. However, I'm positive that the new boat, will not be a replacement, but a new beginning. Good luck with the trial, and thanks again for the trips out. Rich Quote
Paul J Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Portland race and Burnham also come to mind Adios amigo PJ Quote
Coddy Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 It is always sad to see something you have loved pass on, however there is always the anticipation of the new boat. Finding out what she will do or not do, fitting extras which make life a little easier and just enjoying the new boat when going out for a run. Don't look back Adam, start making plans for the new one which may be just around the corner. Coddy Quote
