rich
Launched the 440 at Baiter on Friday about 0930 with a friend who's only been fishing a couple of times in his life. Sea flat calm and the sun is shining. Great. Bear in mind he's using my rods rigs and bait and I even had to help him thread the worms on the hook; ah you've guessed it... he proceeds to pull in a couple of beaut's. Two flounders weighing (on his kitchen scales) 2lb 4oz and 2lb 8oz respectively. Needless to say I blanked again! It got worse. I arrive home to discover the wife paddling about in the kitchen as a result of a broken pipe. All I can think is that I must have done something really terrible in a previous life! Rich. Maverick Martin
Bad luck on the water leak Rich and more bad luck on being beaten by a novice but well done on putting your crew on a mark that produced 2 nice flatties Martin
Swainiac
Its actually good to still see flatties being taken in such mild weather. Rich
Fugazi
Rich, I know just how you feel One summers day I let my wife loose with a fishing rod dangling a perk in the water to keep her amused while us guy's did some serious fishing. After a couple of drifts in Poole Entrance she uttered the classic sentence
Paul D
Rich, You should chat with PJ. He had to watch me carry on fishing ( and catching ), whilst his wife was on the phone pleading for him to come home as the washing machine was flooding the kitchen. Decided it was a good idea to return !

boybilly
Dont speak to me about no justice. Took Sammy out on last Sundays EFSA Flounder comp in Poole harbour. No fish for a couple of hours so we swapped rods. 30 mins to go he latched into a 2lb 113/4oz Flounder. Took top junior, second heaviest flattie( Lost to Ray Barron by 1/4 oz) and finished 4th overall. Plus he won the boat sweepstake. Got some severe stick for that didnt I. Just found out that he has broken the W.A.S boat caught record by 1/4oz as well. Thanks to Bob for a great day out. NO JUSTICE....PAH!!! a very dejected BB. PS We are going Whiting fishing tomorrow on the weather buoy ground, watch this space.
