Paul J Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Fished the high water slack and the first hour of Ebb( 10am12pm) off the end of the Ledge. 3 dogs was all i got so i ran back in while there was plenty of water left. A huge tide but it was nice and flat= a joy to be out even for a short while PJ Quote

alun j. Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 PJ, What's the Run like ?? I was out for a walk at lunchtime and saw the swell breaking on the Bar , even though the sea was flat. I'm hoping to go out Tues or Wed [ confused forecasts again !]..... but have just dug worms in case I'm confined to harbour or Solent. Half term week...... so have to get out. Alun. Quote
Nipper Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 looking at windguru wednesday is the best day i may sneek out my self if i can get away with it . mark b Quote
Paul J Posted February 18, 2007 Author Report Posted February 18, 2007 Alun, The Run was much better than Saturday, I went to go then but bottled it due to the swell PJ Quote
alun j. Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Yeh!, We saw that swell up on the Shingles....... huge breaking waves , running miles..... from the Bridge almost to Hurst.......... and again around the Needles, filling the spaces between the white rocks with white surf !! Last time out we came back through that gap. Are the yellow buoys still on the deepest water over the Bar ?? Alun. Quote
Paul J Posted February 18, 2007 Author Report Posted February 18, 2007 (edited) The yellow markers seem to be fine, give the second one a wide berth though as it;s right on the edge of the gravel bank. PJ Edited February 18, 2007 by Paul J Quote
