cod on the ripps

Got a report from a charter boat that fished the" ripps" yesterday, they managed 12!!! cod with 3 twentys

Just to wet the appetite of those planning to go.

Guys, have a look at the forums on sea-angling.org under catch reports. one of the guys went out on a friends boat 27 miles out from Christchurch (similar distance to the Rips) and managed a haul of 301lb of cod one of which was a good twenty.

Does anyone know if the Ripps is in territorial waters?

 

My boat is not insured if outside territorial waters.

I think territorial waters is the 12 mile line

 

I am fairly certain that even without looking the RIPs are outside that.
