Newboy Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Seen it a few times, but why are the 4 outter outboards have longer shafts than the inner ones? Quote
djredrupp Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 just a guess, but possibly the outer outboards would flood or submerge if that monster RIB were to turn a corner sharpish! It has the same fuel economy as the QE2!! 2ft / gallon! Dan Quote
endeavour boats Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 The two middle engines are x x long shaft, the next two are x long shaft, the next two are x x long shaft and the out two were x long shaft. At full throttle it uses about 160 gallons per hour. And will carry nearly 20 tonnes just in the fuel tanks....... Quote
oysterboats Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 the four outer engines are sat on a higher part of the transom Quote
