Mike Y
I am thinking of buying a 10 foot Pioner boat for my inshore bassing. I will be keeping it on a beach and then using it for fly fishing/spinning/trolling close inshore. Have any of you ever had any experience of the Pioner range? Adam F
I seem to recall reading a review a few years back in BFM. If you want to read the article (baised as they always are) I'll scan it for you. http://www.fym.co.uk/pioner%20boats.htm Are these the plastic boats? I would think they would make an ideal lightweight, tough and durable boat for dragging along the beach and fishing your coastline mike. BTW - what's wrong with the little Orkney you have/had?? TomBettle
Hi Mike Look at the Rigiflex range. Rigiflex are a part of the Jeanneau group (I don't sell them - try Sea Ventures in Lymington). They have a sportyish one called the Cap (in varous sizes) They have one called the Aquapeche (littel fisher for rivers / lakes etc) And then the standard Rigiflex which is much like the Pioner and used by loads of people as a work launch or safety boat. All injection moulded plastic. Fairly basic and fairly bullet proof. Suited to being dragged up and down beaches and neglected.
Mike Y
Cheers guys The Coastliner is being borrowed by a friend of ours on a long term basis but in any event it is too heavy to drag up a beach by one or even two people - needs to be winched. Adam if it is not too much trouble and you could find the BFM article a scan would be much appreciated. Tom I will look at the Rigiflex boats again now that I have a firmer idea of what I want. Thanks to you both Mike
