Gearbox

on the way back into portland saturday the engine started making some bad noises at low revs, the outcome so far boat at dealers with gearbox stripped out awaiting a decision from the importers reference warranty.

this is not a good time of year for a fault due to there workload.

 

due to this i am going to miss out on the early bream and the first comp.

Sorry to hear about your gearbox troubles hopefully not to major.

 

Would have offered you a place on mine sunday but am already crewed up.

I think it's good news you have it this far - it's definitely not the time to have it in the corner of the yard, or worse still on your mooring, waiting for them to find time to find the problem!

lady jane has returned with a new gearbox fitted all under warranty, now need to sea trial her to make sure all is well.

 

this time of year is a serious problem for marine engineers due to everyone wanting there engine problems sorted yesterday.

 

i would like to recommend and thank dave crawford marine lymington for there promp and professional service.
