boybilly
Hi lads, Fished my first Weymouth small boat comp for three years last night. They have now introduced catch and release points system so I will fish it. Fished off Lulworth cove and had two thornies, plethera of doggies, one bream and the ubiquitous pout. Went in too early because we were unsure of the times but got it sussed now. Third on the night by 10 points but fished 40 minutes less. Next time then. Two year old garfish was THE bait believe it or not. The mind boggles. Regards to all BB

Afishionado
Nice one Billy. Yet more fish caught on garfish. I'll have to start keeping a few... I have found garfish to be a brilliant bait for rays, a strip of gar is a 100% bait. Mike
Bob F
Never thought of using Gar as bait before. Except when I used to fish Bournemouth Pier as a kid. We'd use small strips of Gar for the mackerel fishing.
