We were using 12lb gears and we (the missus, sad ain't it, she caught everything bigger than me ) were still able to 'drag' them in without any trouble. Adam F Posted May 23, 2004 Report Share Posted May 23, 2004 I quite often use a spinning rod for the breams - this would be about a 8oz TC set-up I suppose - 6lb braided mainline and a 6lb flurocarbon hooklength.
