TomBettle Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Hi Peter Welcome to the forum. You should find lots of like minded loonies on here. Most aren't actually retired, but some get day release from the asylum reasonably often. Dive in to the site and join in with the banter and you will be very quickly embraced (again not a raging fudge nudger) by the clan and soon be out on the water on your own and members boats. alun j. Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 .............and you'll soon end up joining the club Alun. .....on course to retire in Sept. ....... and enjoy those late summer mid-week calm days on the water. Quote
Brian Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 I retire next January. Maybe there's a need for a "Retiree's Section" like a "Wednesday Club" or something, we can sit out there and gloat while the rest are at work. Quote
plaicemat Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 Put me down for the Gloaters section. Terry. Quote
Swainiac Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 or 44 and semi retired Peter!!! I'm always up for a day out on tuesdays or fridays........and if you fancy a trail up to lymington, the chances of a stinger are getting bigger by the day now, as we arrive at the longest day. Rich Quote
Rob Posted June 20, 2007 Report Posted June 20, 2007 Join the club would be my advice and get yourself an RNLI Free Sea Saftey Check, especially if you are taking out other people. Robhttp://www.rnli.org.uk/what_we_do/sea_and_...sea_safety_home Quote
