Paul D Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 As the weather was good yesterday I took my sister in law out on the boat. Launched from Lymington ( cost me this time Quote
Swainiac Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 If the Lymington Yaght club charge you for using "their" slip, are they responsible for its up keep Paul??? If so, do you have recourse????? Regards, Rich Quote
Adam F Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 Pretty impressive!!! I saw in in the yard a few weeks ago when we went sailing - wouldnt fancy hauling the main sheet by hand though!!! Yes, beware of the hole when wading, I noticed it on Sat, and avoided it, goes for wading in general really, we should always be careful. Quote
Afishionado Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 (Fell down the hole an cut my hand badly. Great start !! ( Beware of this as it is not ) How's the hand dude?? If its still bandaged up for the weekend 48hr I want to confirm in writing publicly there are some things I will NOT hold for you!!!! I 'spose Helen now has an excuse to keep the TV remotes from you too? Seriously if it were a deep cut and in the riverwater is your tetnus up to date? Regards Mike PS nice piccy of the boat, I bet it was a fantastic sight you lucky begger. Quote
great white Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 Nice photo Paul and hell of a nice boat. Does anyone know her dimensions? I would think that it probably draws a lot of water and would struggle to get into Poole Harbour let alone the Yacht Club. Charlie Quote
shytalk Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 that yacht is up for charter if you fancy it $250,000 a week the mast is 80m tall and it has a 10m deep retractable keel !!!! Quote

Afishionado Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 246 Ft LOA Twice the height of Nelsons Column Large enough to park several; double decker buses in the hull 300 ft mast So your sayin' it wont go on me trailer then?? Mike Quote
Paul D Posted May 31, 2004 Author Report Posted May 31, 2004 All the boat's details are on their web site. 30 million pounds worth - glad I didn't run into it then !! Apparently it was supposed to go on Saturday but its launch was delayed due to the weather ( weird as Sunday was rougher than Saturday ). Anyhow, the boat is a little too big to qualify for the fishing club. Mirabella website Quote
