We're right on the extreme edge of decent forecasting this far out, and I've also been checking forecasts for the Open too.

 

Lets just say that the experts are forecasting something different for the 2nd Dec with every day that passes, and the weather systems are currently looking rather vigorous.

 

Our best chance of calm conditions needs the Azores high to move NE and build a bit quicker.

 

The current situation suggests a highly intense low tracking across the UK on the Saturday, then funnelling strong cold winds from the North on the Sunday.

 

Too early to tell yet, let's watch this space.

Northerly wouldn't be too bad.....as long as you're not far out;

 

.......and there's always the harbour. I was out there yesterday, in a strong, cold northerly........and had a couple of flounders.

Sounds like a harbour comp to me.

 

Expected wave heights 3 - 5mtrs!

Wind a bit easer than Adam's suggestions, up to 23kts Westerly with rain in the morning!

It's all over the place today! They are now giving 18 knots max - much better..

 

I guess we wont have a good idea until Friday.

I'm sure I can manage to drive round to baiter, then back to parkstone, and fish the marina berth - who said you actually have to leave your mooring to qualify ????

I am reasonably happy with my peg too - but it really needs more tide to fish to it's potential...........

 

having now got back home and had acess to my forecasting resources I have only only one question -

 

"Is there an alternate date?"

 

I am seeing a high probability of 40+ knots even in the harbour around midday Sunday
