Hi all

Is anyone going out on Sunday?

I hope to be but am not sure if it will be floundering [Castaways comp if we do] or outside for the end of the whiting etc.

I may have room but it depends on if Sam recovers from a wisdom tooth extraction yesterday and of course the weather.

Post or PM if interested in a trip at short notice

well I have W 10 knots through the morning dropping to 6 for 1500 and back up to 8 for 1800 so I think I will go for it.

as you say the tide will be running pretty hard on the back of strong W / SW winds as well so a bit of colour in the water.

will give you a call Sat evening - or vice versa

Jack,

Just make sure you put plenty of bait into the water.... keep them there, feeding until I can get out on Mon. [on a calmer day than Sun.].

Groundbaiting works ....... I think you have a big baitdropper, don't you??

Good luck ......and have a good day.

a change of plan for Phaeton - not prompted by Jack's plans honest!

on the other hand I think I have the whole of May for fishing; barring any misunderstanding!

best of luck to everyone heading out.

Dave should be out in the harbour in Knot Again fishing the flounder comp

The great thing about Monday, rather than Sunday.....

Its a work day, and I've got the whole darn thing off!!!!

Hope it'll more sucessful than Forest Gumps shrimping trips - you have to see it to know what I mean... laugh.gif

We've plans for a few whiting, but there's always a chance of a bonus fish if you're fishing with the 'master harvester'

tight lines all those going out tomorrow!

Dom,

You should be OK, esp. if you come back along your plot out.

The entrance and Bar have changed.......and there's only one yellow buoy to help.

Biggest change is the loss of the big gravel bar at the end of the Run. The 90 degree turn is still there at the yelow buoy, then it's mostly straight out using the wave shapes to find the deeper water......it is dead shallow everywhere...but tend to go left\east a bit.

Coming in...... go fast, get up on the plane and head for the yellow buoy ..and round it on the east and northern sides.

Let us know if you find the whiting down our end of the Bay !!

Good luck \ tight lines,

Alun.
