I decided to go all posh, and replace the use of an elastic band stop knot on float tackle gear, with Power gum. Bought a roll, NO INSTRUCTIONS.

I foolishly thought it might be sticky. I have tried tying it on the main line, but it iether comes undone again or does not grip and just slides about.

Educate my someone please. dry.gif jack

cut 8" length.

Make a loop and hold along your main line.

Holding the loop and one of the tag ends along your line, pass the other tag end through the loop and therefore around your main line 5 or 6 times

Wet and pull up with the tags to form a water knot

Trim tags as required.

Always wet before adjusting along the main line

They are good Billy - I always carry a few....but.... you cant put them on afterwards like you can a powergum waterknot? I.e they need to be the firstt item on the trace whatever you are using them for. A waterknot can be added afterwards.

Another use for the knot is for attaching a dropper as an afterthought, commonly used for tying droppers when fly fishing, I quite often whack one on my cod or big fish trace if other smaller fish are around like whiting.
