Afishionado
As I told you Paul the picture was copyright free via the Daily Mail on line. ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...n_page_id=1770) However as you are so concerned about possible legal action culminating in the imprisonment of the committee and the execution with prejudice of your good self I am sure you acted wisely. I trust that all further pictures and excerpts from any electronic source will receive your eagle eyed inspection. It's nice to know you are so careful. Mike Edit..... Oh, it's also on Utube in full moving picture Technicolour with SOUND!!!! http://milstead.wordpress.com/2008/04/14/w...lodes/#more-549 Edited April 14, 2008 by Afishionado

djredrupp
Mike, i know it seems a bit anal (not you paul, the copyright), but copyright is copyright, and if someone was a bit of a jobsworth and did moan, I dont think it would be worth the hassle of a picture (even if it was funny). and fair enuf to paul, as i dnt think a fishing club could do with getting sued by some good-for-nothing-fun-spoiler! anyway at least you got the link in, so we can all see it! Dan p.s. im thinking of going fishing on sunday,, with 3 red sticks and a lighter! should prove successful! haha
Paul D
OK Mike - Post the image on World Sea Fishing exactly as you have done here. Then when the forum administrator removes the copyright material ( which he will do as it will be in breach of their rule 13 ) post a reply to their moderator exactly as you have done here. I will then be interested to see what happens next
Member Removed
[Mike, i know it seems a bit anal] Yes it does a bit. Come on lads, lighten up! It was a light hearted joke and a good one inteneded to raise a smile for the rest of us. As an outsider, I enjoy mikes sometimes outrageous and often intentionally controversial posts, they add a bit of spice to an otherwise dull day. Lets not become overly PC even though Mike is sometimes as subtle as an unlubricated shaft hammer and may be telling a teeny weeny porkie about there being no copyright on the snapshot, when (whoops, I didn't see that - honest!) the web site terms clearly say there is - yellow card for that one Mike! Just like Herr Mosley ("Ja ich dicked sieben frauen hookeren aber ich sprachen keinen nazi kommendanten, so was is der problem johann") U Tube kind of blows it apart and are you seriously suggesting that the copyright owner has Messrs Carter Ruck on retention with thunderbolt writs ready to launch after trawling through every tiny website for miscreants? Guilty as charged but who is going to in practice. I only reply cos i think editing mike's post as done, was a touch zealous although I do agree the opposing points were all well made and technically correct. With you on this one Mike. Sorry lads. Up the revolution Wolfie! (For those under 50, this has nothing to do with cars or Wolves - its Tooting) Finally, back to jokes, how many french troops does it take to defend Paris successfully? Nobody knows, its never been done!! French DEFCOM Defcom 5: run, Defcom4: Hide, Defcom 3: Negotiate, Defcom 2: surrender, Defcom 1: collaberate. Don't we just love our Francophile brethren. Maverick Martin
Mikes post was funny no doubt there but the picture used is copyrighted. It can still be seen by following the link and althought this detracts from the joke it is still there We have removed copyright material before and no doubt will have to again. just to say the item was on utube meens nothing, that came from a different source and may not have been copyrighted. The picture used however is and as such cannot be used without the owners permission. As moderators thats what we are supposed to do. There are just two of us that moderate this site so we tend to read every post which takes time and is not fool proof, I am not saying we are fools but we are human With the best will in the world we will not get every decision we make correct but in this instance I feel Paul was. Come on lads lighten up Martin
