boybilly
Thanks chaps, back to my youth at Thorpe Park, well recommended. Unfortunately I twisted my ankle playing football on Sunday, that,ll teach me to respect my age. By the way gents, a bit of advice required. There will be a big rift in Weymouth Angling Club. We were told that we would be allowed to weigh at sea on calibrated scales so I forked out and got a set calibrated with Weights and Measures in Dorchester. Maverick Martin
I think you will find that so long as the trip is a private trip ie: not a paid for charter and that the boat is under 35' you should be able to record your fish However I do recall that some rules were changed/amended at the AGM so I would wait to hear from one of the committee to clarify before taking what I write as gospel Martin
boybilly
Any news lads on the boat issue. Fished the comp yesterday and got a nice undulate of 15.88 lbs. Regards, BB . PS Now that I am getting a bit longer in the tooth, should I change my stage name, just a thought.

Swainiac
Good skills required to land a fish of such proportion on light gear, well done. Will consult the timetable for days out mate...and give due notice. Rich
boybilly
Excited already mate. Rearranged comp tonight. Fished Durdle Dor. 8 Bream, 6 doggies and 4 Pout. 115 Points. Dave second with 7 species for 85 points. Not a great night but nice to be out. All bream on size 8 sakuma mini mantas. Couldn,t hook a fish on larger hooks, strange. I think they have been hammered and are very tentative at the moment.BB
