Fishing was slow but managed to lose 2 fish before catching 2 pollock and a pout. ( There were some good sized pollock coming onboard off the last wreck we drifted. ) . Had trouble catching Pollock but managed the only cod caught with one of around 14lb so well pleased with that. Conditions were superb and can well recommend the boat and skipper - Glen Caines ( it the same type as Fred's Crimson Tide ) On another note :- The cost of fuel for these long wrecking trips must be making them almost unviable at current prices. The fuel bill for the one trip was around Quote
great white Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Glad you had a few fish Paul, well done on the cod. How far did you travel to burn Quote
Paul D Posted May 18, 2008 Author Report Posted May 18, 2008 Not sure exact distance we travelled but someting like 4-5 hours steaming at around 18 knots ? in total plus drifting on each wreck, so something like 80-90 NM ( very approx ! ) ? Quote
