JIMBOB
Hi paul My props 10~3/8 diameter x 11 pitch ,There quite a difference from yours, Is your orkney a semi dispacement hull? Taras a planeing. James
Paul D
James, Orkney is a semi-displacement hull also the pitch will depend upon the ratio of the gearbox in the engine. ( I had previously a prop with a pitch of 9 3/4", so I have reduced the pitch by 3/4 " which should mean higher revs for the engine. ) Acid test will be to take to the water. JIMBOB
Hi paul Just abit of info regarding pitch,"for every 2" of pitch, RPM's will change approximatley 400 RPM's" So you should have about 200 more RPM's James
Paul D
James, I was expecting more like 400 RPM ( as in 500 RPM per inch ). Surely the increase will depend on the gearing of the engine ? ( Mine is 2.08 ).
