charlieannear
Well, with new windscreen fitted (ask Rob ) and a dry day or two at last, Darren came over with his mate and some pattern paper, and 24 hours later... The cover extends all the way over the bow roller, and down over the rubbing strip on the sides, and out over the outboard to the rear, with nowhere for the rainwater to collect on the top. Quick gallery This was done by Darren at Cut and Cover. They came and measured up the boat on my driveway and very quickly delivered and fitted the finished product. And I'm very pleased with the result! I expect it will now be 6 months without a drop of rain. You can thank me if that's the case! I haven't put the contact details on here as I don't want to be told off for advertising , however, Darren will be in communication with Paul D over some sort of interaction with the club. C. TomBettle
Charlie It looks very smart. Make sure it has a couple of props underneath to stop water from forming puddles (or lakes) and stretching the fabric.
charlieannear
Good tip Tom. The photos may not show it, but on this cover the gradients on the cover mean that rainwater runs off- there's nowhere for it to collect.

Gary Forgot to respond to this, sorry! It's a thick PVC canvas, no specified guarantee but I'm sure Cut N Cover would say their materials and work are designed to last. It certainly looks to be the case. Price would depend on boat size and complexity. My boat is almost 18' long and this cover was very competitively priced. Over this latest period of inclement weather the cover has kept the boat very well protected and the cockpit and cabin are bone dry. Graham Nash
I would just like to add to this thread ..... I checked out the "boat cover" threads on here before contacting one of the names recommended ..... I waited for his quote then contacted him again and waited .... and waited. I returned to this thread last Thursday and spoke to Wayne at Cut n Cover. He was at my boat the same day and gave me a quote there and then. A small amount of haggling later we agreed a price and he promised to have it done by Friday of this week (within a week). I was down there today doing some finishing touches to the electrics and Wayne turned up with my new cover. He fitted it and it looks a treat. He then removed it to take it away and add a couple of bits of reinforcing where the rod holders touch the cover a little. He has promised to drop it back to me on Friday as originally promised. Credit where credit is due .... First class friendly service and a reasonable price. I will put a couple of pictures up once it's back on Friday. Graham.
