Osprey Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Just posting to say hello to everyone at last! After visiting the site fairly regularly, PBSBAC seemed such a good club, I just had to join! Actually that was a few months ago but somehow I just haven't got round to posting till now. Unfortunately, I'm going to be a bit of a "country" member as I live near Hungerford so I doubt if I will be able to make many meetings etc. but I will make the effort to meet up sometime asap. I already know Coddy from the IAC so I will know at least one face. I keep my boat Osprey at Bucklers Hard so I don't have to travel too far to get into Club waters. Look forward to chatting some more when there's some fish to report!!! Tight lines Martyn Quote
Coddy Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Hi Martyn Welcome to the "main" club! Good to see you up and running, lets hope you get amoungst those fish and tell me where they are! Coddy aka Dave S Quote

great white Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Wellcome Martyn We hope to see you afloat in the future. A good one would be the comp on Nov 23rd as there is a meeting-prizegiving afterwards in the Marina to swap a few tales enjoy the Club Charlie Quote

Maverick Martin Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Hi Martyn Welcome to one of the friendliest small boat clubs on the south coast. Get stuck in and enjoy BTW I have just updated your forum status to that of club member so you can now see the club member only section Martin Quote
Gas Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Welcome Onboard. This is the best club. Craig Quote
Osprey Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 Well, judging by the welcoming responses, I'm certain this is the friendliest club going! Thank you all for your replies, and I look forward to meeting you all some day. And thank you Martin for making me legitimate (many have tried!) I'm trying to sneak out sometime before the weekend. Hopefully, I'll have something to report. There's always LSDs! Martyn Quote
TomBettle Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Hi Martyn Welcome onboard! Nice boat by the way! ..if you ever need crew... ....I know Bucklers Hard and the Beaulieu river...? Quote
Osprey Posted November 4, 2008 Author Report Posted November 4, 2008 (edited) Tom Hope I haven't misled you. My boat isn't an Osprey - it's just called Osprey! She's an Orkney DA 24. I just couldn't think of a better name! Here she is below (but just in case you are getting worried, that's not me on board) You are welcome on board any time. Martyn Edited November 4, 2008 by Osprey Quote
TomBettle Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Arrrr well, maybe she is not an Osprey, but I suppose I could be persuaded out on a DA 24! All the best and welcome again! Tom Quote
Paul D Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Welcome Martyn. Nice boat. My friend has a DA 23 and have been well impressed with her. I think Bucklers Hard is actually in club waters ( line through St catherines Point and then to the west of that ( so Sowely / Lepe etc. is all "in club waters" ). Quote
