Member Removed
Well I actually made it out Friday and the conditions turned out fantastic. Started with a couple of Mackerel to suppliment to bait and set to the fishing. I was aiming to fish the patches, but had to guess as we don't have GPS. The bottom profiler showed some features so we stopped there. About 5 mins later and my rod bent over. Got a smoothy about 4.5' long. Don't know the weight as we did not have scales, but it was the biggest fish I have ever caught (not been doing it long and certainly not as big as the one on the front!!) This followed by a whole day of normal dogfish one after the other. No other species apart from a large spider crab and a 10cm bass in the harbour!! Had a really fun day though. Member Removed
This one took ragworm. All the others went for mackerel as much as the ragworm. They do fight well though, very fun.
