Barney
Not sure about electricians but in todays mad world of health and safety. 1 Project manager to write risk accessment and method statement. 2 No stepladders allowed on site so platform required. Training required. Training officer 3 Hire company to Hire Platform 4 Driver to deliver platform 5 Electrician to change light bulb 6 Admin to file all the relivant paper work If only i was joking
Brian
You forgot the Accountant, who decides if the budget will stretch to a new light bulb.
great white
I attended a health and Safety training reminder recently. and the message seems to be changing. Even the HSE seem to be admitting that common sense can start to prevail. and openly admitted that If the job takes 30 mins or less there is little sense in spending hours setting up safety platforms etc. you can get the steps out. That is of course steps that conform to the correct standard, are in new condition and are used by trained operatives
