Do you remember we talked on the day that how, not far to the west, they would be good fish but, not exceptional.  And you pointed out how long the record had stood until that day in club waters.

Lots of talk at the time [and since] about how easy it is to catch big congers, but your record still stands Tom

 

Believe me we have tried a few times since.

 

Conger bashing, does not have the following it once had.

Having Bluefin Tuna in the UK, may have diverted the attention of those that want bigger fish.

Not to be underestimated choosing the correct wreck, time of tide and how crucial plus difficult the anchoring is!
