niggle
Hi all just a quick report only just got back.I fished comp aboard Sea Mistress owned by Terry Hill [WSF forum mod] a QS 640 with Mike Thrussell JR.Arrived 10th practised 11th &12th on some marks,as it is a species comp with numerous prizes totalling 15k,their are some very dedicated anglers which out of comps have so far this year amassed between 45 to 50 species so with 47 boats entered its very competative.First day if memory serves me right 12 species which put us 25ish 2nd day only managed 4 which put us 19th 3rd & 4th delayed due to wind so rig building days 3rd day was a hard day for all added 3 species which put us 16th ish [i am totally tired so only approx] Last day we knew we had a chance if lady luck was with us as we had 19 species, leader start of last day had 25. It was again a hard day leaders added no extra species,a local added 5 to give them the win with 28 We only managed 2 which gave us 21 species and 13th out of 47 entries The trip was brilliant, company ,ace guys, fishing fantastic.species are small and tactics very different.HIGHLY RECCOMEND THE EVENT ALREADY ENTERED NEXT YEAR.Prizes are great and if luck and skill were with u its poss to win enough to pay for trip.We won heaviest flat fish 570euros. 3rd most amount species on one of 4 days
