Brian
before I add this to my species list, I need to be sure what it is, can you help? I think it's a Goby. Edited September 28, 2009 by Brian
Brian
I should have said, it was about 4" long, I think it's a "Common Goby".
Coddy
Hi Brian I would confirm Common Goby, I think you will find the Black Goby is differant shadding but the next nearest is the Rock Goby and both Rock and Common can be hard to identify exactly. Have a look at this site http://www.sealordphotography.net/Nature/G...#97281985_wMqbc which shows the head picture of both Rock and Common Goby Dave Edited September 28, 2009 by Coddy
Brian
Thanks Dave. After comparing the two, I'm going with Common Goby. Was that you I saw heading out past Old Harry Monday morning? I called you on the radio.
Coddy
Hi Brian Yes, sorry I did not hear you as I was opening her up to test all the repairs I have carried out. Seems you did well in catching four species to add to your tally, it does not take long to creap up the table. I have been trying to find a good ray mark all year, my usual one seems to be barren and they have moved on to somewhere new Dave
