Know what you mean Neil I took my grandson up in the loft looking for some toys yesterday, "Wow look at all of those fishing rods " was his comment. Considering that I only really do boat fishing, I must admit that I seem to have a few " spares.

Looking at the next 4 days weather a miracle has unfortunately not happened, as everyone has seen! The Cod Comp is cancelled, how ever if a miracle does happen and any of you local lucky skippers make it out, pictures please. At least this Christmas has been a little better than last year regards being able get about and see people. Happy New Year and let’s hope 2022 continues to be a positive one.

Looking at the forecast, I would suspect it can be taken as a non starter on grounds of safety. It looks like the weather gods or maybe goddesses have done their best to cancel another Comp!! It’s been more than frustrating to try and get the Comps planned in with either the weather or restrictions causing mayhem this year. Hopefully more settled next year on both fronts. 🤞🤞
