Here's another one. It's a bass this time; a bit too easy

We caught a wolf fish in a pot in the North of Scotland; I wouldn't go near the thing, evil looking critters. Look like they've got a mouthful of dogs teeth. Must be in the top three of ugliest fish in the sea.

Bob, There were quite a few pro bass anglers out of Poole twenty years ago, Crazy was one of them, and they sure weren't selling them for pot bait.

The first time I heard that one I was about eight. It was Jim Davidson and his bluebottle was 16lbs I think (fine specimen).

Well done Martin, oh,and Fred. Where did you end up? By the numbers you stated I'm guessing Ballard, we've caught plenty there but no three to four pounders yet; they sound like Christchrurch Ledge fish. Simon.

I had haf a dozen off of Ballard last night just as the sun was going down which is usually a good time anyway. Only a couple of drops and then they were gone; I was expecting more. Nice big ones though. Simon.

Snuck out with my dad after work for a couple of hours. Went straight to the same mark on Ballard; the bites started straight away. Ended up with 35 but I don't think it's a good mark for the comp as the biggest ones were only just over 2lbs and most were between 1lb and 1 1/2lbs. Good fun though and great evening to be out there. Managed 6 mackerel on the way in. Simon.
